Moray Therapets Visit Glenfiddich Distillery
On March 9th just before Covid-19 lockdown, a few of the Moray Therapets were invited along to an interesting day out to meet the workers at “Glenfiddich Distillery Charities Day” in Dufftown near Aberlour.
Our local Area Representative Maureen Thomson took along a table top display to let the workers in the distillery see what volunteer work we do in the area and arranged some of our lovely Therapets to come along to meet the employee’s. On the day the Therapets attending were; Derek - Black Labrador, Harris - Springer Spaniel, Milo - CollieX, Wolfie - Golden Retriever and Dee Dee – Spaniel.
With several charities attending this event all the employees were given a ten pound voucher by Glenfiddich and asked to nominate one of the charities attending to receive their voucher. We have been told that we will receive a donation of £330.00p through this. Think this may have been helped by the power of our lovely Therapets, who as usual were all very well behaved.
During the day our volunteers were supplied with freshly made scones accompanied with tea or coffee. A great way to spend some time and let others know of the great work our volunteers along with their Therapets do for others.
Many thanks to A.R. Maureen Thomson for arranging the Therapets on the day and to the team at “Glenfiddich Distillery Charities Day” for inviting us along.
Also to their employee’s for their nomination in the resulting donation of £330.00p.
