"Stepping out for Scotland in Badenoch & Strathspey”

Yet another very successful fund raising walk by the Therapet team in Badenoch & Strathspey led by our Area Representative Margaret Ewing.
A terrific turnout of 18 dogs with the youngest human being just 3 years (Margaret’s granddaughter) and everyone else who were slightly older!
Rain was the order of the day (torrential describes this better) but never-the-less this did not stop the enthusiastic walkers completing the task to reach the head of Loch an-Eilein, with the majority completing a distance of 4.5miles in the beautiful Rothiemurchus estate. The total raised was £522.00
Special thanks to Matthew Kirkwood, the Rothiemurchus Estate Manager, for granting the permission to hold the walk and for allowing free parking for our volunteers.
Also to everyone for making this event run smoothly and possible!!
This was Canine Concern Scotland Trust’s award winning “Stepping out for Scotland” walk for 2019 for which Margaret was awarded the Ki-Chu-Asha Stars of Hope Memorial Trophy for organising the event. Also Elizabeth Kay of Kingussie won the Miss Mattie award for the highest individual sponsorship raised at sponsored walks in 2019.
