Scottish Thistle Pedigree Whippet Racing Club - Fund Raising for CCST

On Sunday 29th September the Scottish Thistle PWRC held their first Charity Race Day in celebration of the 20th Anniversary since the club was established.

The four founder members were guests of honour which included CCST member June Symmons who had been asked some months previously to suggest a charity. CCST was nominated. Lynsey Thomson - Trustee and Area Representative for Stirlingshire and Mel Hughes - Support & Development Officer went along to Inch Farm, Kincardine to enjoy the racing and homemade cake along with ex Therapet Daisy, a Whippet who retired earlier this year.

It is very much a family sport, even the youngest children are involved and there was plenty of exciting races, with over thirty Whippets taking part plus many young “trialling” to learn the ropes.

The Club raised the fantastic sum of £1,043.00p and presented a cheque to Lynsey and Mel, which was gratefully received on behalf of CCST.
