Therapets Help Raise Dementia Awareness at Hairmyeres Hospital

CCST Area Representative John Kerr for East Kilbride and South Lanarkshire was asked to support the Dementia team at Hairmyeres Hospital during the week 18th – 22nd September.

This was to bring attention to the issues of Dementia in our everyday lives.

John was assisted during the week by some of the local CCST volunteers and their Therapets and together helped the NHS team create awareness of “Dementia” and at the same time promote the Therapet Service to visitors and staff in this busy NHS hospital.

During the week 13 Therapets, (Digby, Honey, JJ, Daisy, Bonnie, Seri, Lottie, Milo, Balin, Ruby, Abbie, Mia and Talla) took part in these sessions and some can be seen in the pictures shown.

Over the four days, visitors and staff gave donations to help support CCST and the Therapet service to the amount of £283.97p – Thank you!
