THERAPET In National Final
A Motherwell dog has reached the final of a national competition to find Scotland’s Top Pet Model.
Tibetan spaniel Milo beat over 70 pets from across country to win the June heat of the competition run by Vets4Pets.
The one-year-old was nominated by his owner Lucy Abercrombie for the joy and help he brings to those in need and will go up against four other heat winners from May, July, August and September for the chance to become the face of a Vets4Pets marketing campaign as well as winning £150 in Pets at Home vouchers.
Lucy said: “I got Milo in January 2015 when he was just a tiny four-month-old puppy and instantly fell completely in love with him.
“His temperament is very calm and loving, and I noticed straight away how he brought joy to anyone who met him. I knew then he would be perfect at helping me volunteer in the stroke unit in Wishaw General Hospital. “We also take part in Paws Against Stress events, where I take Milo along to universities and visit students who are about to take their exams to help relieve some of their stress.
“Milo is my saviour. He came along and brought light into my life at a time when I needed a new focus,
“He is an absolute star who helps so many people around him and now this is his chance to enjoy the spotlight and I really hope he can go all the way and win the competition.”
