Figgat Fair & Fund Raiser For CCST

Once again the Badenoch & Strathspey branch of Canine Concern Scotland Trust took part in the Figgat Fair with a stall to raise funds for CCST & Therapet Service, with a tombola, hook-a-duck and other competitions, and to create awareness of the Therapet visiting service. Local Therapet volunteers, with their Therapets, and supporters of Therapet manned the stall. Trustee James Macdonald brought along the CCST marquee and over £190 was raised. Enquiries were taken from several potential volunteers with their pets. As is now tradition during the course of the Figgat Fair several of the volunteers and their Therapets walked around the fair and in doing so created a lot of attention and interest. Vivien Moen, Area Representative for Badenoch & Strathspey and Maureen Thomson Area Representative for Elgin talked to interested enquirers about the work the Trust carries out with our Therapet visits. Despite the rain in the late afternoon Vivien said it was a very successful day and hopefully we have got some potential new Therapets for the area. Many thanks to everyone who turned up on the day and donated items for the tombola.
