Volunteer Dianne Scott and her Therapet Islay had a great time at Crufts this year winning Best of Breed in “Spaniel (English Springer)” classification. Not only is she a winning show dog but she has been an active Therapet for the last 3years visiting the Ayrshire Hospice and soon to be visiting in Ailsa Hospital in Ayr.

Here is what was recently written about her fantastic win at Crufts in the Ayrshire paper - Carrick Gazette; A Dunure dog owner and Islay, a three-and-a-half-year-old English Springer Spaniel, proved every dog does have its day after walking away with a top prize at Crufts.

Islay was one of 22,000 healthy, happy dogs at Birmingham’s NEC last week for the annual dog show, presented by the Kennel Club, and claimed the prestigious Best of Breed award.

Owner Dianne Scott fought off competition from a whole host of other dogs to scoop the coveted prize in Thursday’s Gundog day.
