THERAPET SHADOW IS SCRUFFTS WINNER SKC Ch DOG SHOW
He was going to be a difficult dog to replace but I started looking around. Through my Agility contacts I became aware of Morgan’s Dog Rescue Centre based in Cumbria which focuses on re-homing working dogs. I took a chance one Saturday in August last year and visited the Rescue Centre on the vague whisper of a small collie cross being available (no picture was available). I found the rescue centre on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Out of a small crate came a beautiful, friendly little collie cross called Bob. I knew immediately he was the dog for me as tears welled up in my eyes. Well that was less than a year ago and Bob is now called Shadow.
Shadow has blossomed in his new home and, after just about 6 months, became Cuillin’s replacement at the “Tor Nursing Home” and is a complete natural. He is very sweet and gentle with the residents, once he has hovered up all of the crumbs on the floor ! In his spare time he goes hillwalking and does agility. Shadow recently entered the Scottish heats for Scruffts at SKC Ch dog show in August at Ingliston, Edinburgh. He was a star and won Best Dog and was the 3rd Best Rescue. He is pictured below with his haul from Scruffs. On the same day he won his first ever agility competition! A great all-rounder!
Shadow was registered as a Therapet in March of 2014 and started visiting in April of this year.
