More friends join in for Therapet Service

Harry Greig, Perthshire representative for Canine Concern Scotland Trust, has expressed his delight at being able to welcome two new volunteers and their dogs, but would like to welcome more.

"Dogs owners and their pets provide Therapet visiting services to care homes in their local area." explained Harry, who lives in Couper Angus.

"As part of her new role, Newtyle resident Fiona Leel and her Collie "Millie" visit Meigle Country House Care Home on a weekly basis and have had a great reception residents. Millie has quickly found her way into the hearts of the residents and loves her visits.

Joan Wilson, from Carsie, and her Cockapoo "Bonnie" can regularly be seen at the Rosemount Golf Retirement Centre in Blairgowrie. Bonnie also loves all the affection and treats from the residents.

Therapet volunteers provide a valuable pet therapy service throughout Scotland with approximately 500 owners and dogs. As the demand for this service continues to grow, more volunteers are always needed."

Harry can be contacted on 01828 627757.
