CCST is run by a Board of Trustees which oversees the running of the Trust. The Trust has only one paid employee, a part-time Administrator, who also acts as Secretary and Treasurer in an honorary capacity. The office which is in Machrihanish, near Campbeltown, is fully electronic. The Trust has invested in a sophisticated electronic document management system for its files and records.

At present we have two patrons, both ladies, Lesley Fitz-Simons and Rosemary Long.

We have a Committee of Management which promotes the Trust and organises and runs an outdoor Companion Dog Show every year on the first Sunday in June.

From our volunteering aspect, we have Area Representatives who oversee the Therapet
Volunteers in their own areas.  The Volunteers carry out the very important service of taking their dogs to visit people in a wide range of places including care homes, hospitals, hospices and secure units. The name of this service is called "Therapet".
