About Us

Canine Concern Scotland Trust is run by a Board of Trustees which sets policy and oversees the operation of the Trust. The Trust has  one paid employee, a part-time Administrator, who also acts as Secretary and Treasurer in an honorary capacity. The office is based in Machrihanish, near Campbeltown. The Trust has invested in a sophisticated electronic document management system for its files and records.

At present we have two patrons, Lesley Fitz-Simons and Rosemary Long.

We have a Committee of Management which promotes the Trust and organises and runs an outdoor Companion Dog Show every year on the first Sunday in June.

From our volunteering aspect, we have Area Representatives who look after the Therapet Volunteers in their own areas. The Volunteers carry out the very important service of taking their dogs to visit people in a wide range of places including care homes, hospitals, hospices and secure units. The name of this service is called "Therapet".
